Your photos say more than you think
Every photo from a phone or camera can carry hidden data — exactly where it was taken, the device that took it, even the date and time. Privacy Picture removes all of it before you share.
Nothing leaves this device. Photos are cleaned locally and never uploaded anywhere.
- GPS location — the exact spot a photo was taken, often down to your front door.
- Device & camera info — the make and model of your phone or camera.
- Date & time — precisely when the photo was captured.
- Editing software — what app last touched the file.
What gets removed — the full list
Privacy Picture rebuilds every photo from its pixels alone, so all hidden data is left behind, including:
- GPS location — latitude, longitude, altitude, direction
- Camera and phone make and model
- Date and time the photo was taken or changed
- Lens details and camera settings (exposure, ISO, aperture, flash)
- Editing software and app names
- Owner, author and copyright text
- Photo titles, captions, comments and keywords
- Embedded preview thumbnail
- XMP and IPTC data added by editing apps and social media
- Color profile (ICC)
What changes
- Cleaned copies are saved as new files named "-clean"; your originals are untouched
- JPEG photos are saved as JPEG; PNG photos are saved as PNG; other types are saved as JPEG
- Cleaned JPEGs are saved at high quality, so a small size change is normal
